Why I do what I do

I got into insurance because the system is genuinely confusing, and I knew families in this valley deserved someone who would slow down, listen, and explain things in plain English. No pressure. No agenda.

I work with major California carriers through my appointments with Benefits Plan of America, which means I'm not steered to push one company's plan. My only job is finding what genuinely fits your situation — your doctors, your medications, and your budget.

Common Questions

What people usually ask

Got a question that's not here? Just call or email me. No question is too small.

Does it cost anything to work with you?
No. My services are completely free to you. I'm paid by the insurance carriers when you choose a plan — the same commission they'd pay anyone — but you get a licensed advocate who works with you, not for them.
Are you affiliated with the government or Medicare?
No. I am a licensed insurance broker. I am not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program. Medicare will never call you out of the blue, and I don't either. I only contact people who have asked me to.
How is this different from calling 1-800-Medicare?
1-800-Medicare can give you general information, but they can't enroll you in private Medicare Advantage or Supplement plans, and they can't compare plans for you. I can do both — and I sit down with you in person if you want.
When can I switch my Medicare plan?
There are several enrollment windows: the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7), the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (January 1 – March 31), and Special Enrollment Periods if you've moved or had a life change. I'll help you figure out which window applies to you.
What if I already have an agent?
That's totally fine. If you're happy with them, stay with them. If you'd like a second opinion on your current plan with no obligation to switch, I'm glad to give you one.
How do I know you're trustworthy?
Fair question. Here's what I'd say: I'm licensed by the state of California, I have a local office you can visit, and my license number is at the top of this page so you can verify it directly with the California Department of Insurance at insurance.ca.gov. I'd rather earn your trust slowly than ask for it.
Do you help with dental, vision, or hearing coverage?
Yes. Many Medicare Advantage and Supplement plans I work with offer dental, vision, and hearing add-ons. The right combination depends on your existing coverage and which providers you want to keep, so this is something we'll go over together when we sit down for your free plan review.
